This Privacy Policy applies to the Contractor Exam Prep mobile app published on the Apple App Store and Google Play by Buckley Johnson ("we", "us"). It describes what information the app accesses, collects, uses and shares, and how to contact us about it.
The app does not collect, transmit or share any personal or sensitive user data. It has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and does not connect to our servers. Everything it needs is included when you install it.
None. We do not collect personal information (such as your name, email address or phone number), device identifiers, location, contacts, photos, or usage analytics. The app does not require you to create an account or sign in.
To work as a study tool, the app saves your study progress locally on your device only: which questions you have answered, which you got right or missed, the chapter you were studying, and whether you have been asked to rate the app. This information never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or to anyone else. Deleting the app deletes it.
The app does not request access to your camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos or files. On Android it declares a foreground service of type media playback so that the "Listen and Learn" audio can keep playing with the screen off; this is used only to play the audio files bundled with the app.
The app contains no third-party advertising or analytics software and shares no data with third parties. Your purchase of the app is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their own privacy policies; we receive no personal information about you from that purchase. If you choose to rate the app, the rating prompt is provided by Apple or Google and is subject to their policies.
The app is a licensing-exam study tool intended for adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and because it collects no data, it collects no data from children.
Because no user data is transmitted or stored by us, there is no personal data in our possession to secure. Your local study progress is protected by your device's own security (passcode, encryption and app sandboxing).
We retain no user data, so there is nothing for us to delete. Your locally stored study progress remains on your device until you clear the app's data or uninstall the app, which removes it completely. If you believe we hold any information about you, email us at the address below and we will respond.
If the app ever changes what it collects (for example, if a future version adds analytics or advertising), this policy will be updated before that version is released, with a new effective date at the top of this page.
